East Edges West on Final Singles Match

A thrilling three days of golf matches at the wonderful Streamsong Resort came down to the final singles match on Saturday

to decide the winner of the Riley Plate. Mark Prygocki of the West faced a blind draw against David Wecker of the East.

Wecker's stellar back nine allowed him to edge out Prygocki and give the East a one point victory. The East retained the

plate it had won in 2019 at Pelican Hill.

East Captain Walt Dennis awarded Wecker the MVP award for his clutch singles play. West Captain Lach Hough awarded his

MVP to Hank Wolf, who went 3-0 in his matches. Lou Taylor rode a magical four under 69 on the Black course to secure his first World 100 Cup Vase. Former West Captain Jason Bridge had the low net score for the event and was awarded the Club Cup. The award for best senior golfer went to Joe Gilles who took possesion of the coveted Quaich. Jane Dennis's ladies team was led by Marty Pendarvis. Marty was given the Dixie Cup for her inspired play.
